bullets
I just found some 'bullet time' or 'time slice' or 'wizz-bang' video clips I made a couple of years ago. I made a blue screen tube with 24 little video cameras poking through little holes in the fabric...

Evening drive video utilises the following ground breaking crapnology: strobing, video feedback, cardboard cut outs (by holly c), string, internet scavenged images, filming off a laptop screen, shakey pans and simulated vhs mixer edits.

goodbye animal friends!
There was a mysterious invasion of animal head people at the awesome recent BC party in Corsica Studios. They didnt say anything but you could tell by the way they were dancing that the sweet sounds of James Holden, Luke Abbott, Nathan Fake, Kieran Hebden, and Lone were pleasing to their animal ears.

mat rivideo fyhnished! (lol)
Here is the video for Fyh by Mat Rivere wot i just made. It had a love story between kittens in it originally but they were exiled to the cutting room floor as they looked stupid.
This video features my first attempt at Datamoshing, i thought i'd better get it out of my system before it stopped being cool. It is still cool isnt it?
The song is out on brainloverecords (dot com) and is from his eagerly anticipated album 'follow your heart', available from Jan 2010.

sentimental cat poetry
This is a collaboration with illustrator extraordinaire Richard Dinnis. We were selected for a scheme to help recently graduated arty types by putting on a show, they suggested the possibility of making new work for it so we got together (actually Rich had moved to Penzance and I was in Norfolk, so not actually geographically together) and made this.

micro residency...

I just finished my short stay in London at the 2 Jonnys project space. As promised I used this opportunity to test drive my micro motion control jib. Despite it being alot of work, predictably technical things going wrong, ideas failing after trying them (attempting to do 15 minutes animation in 1 day (what was I thinking?!)) and only having 3 days to make it, I had a great time and am very pleased with how the jib works. The bit of work I made is called 'Motion control dream sequence', its quite unnecessarily long so i'll probably edit it down some time soon...

P.S. Please be aware it was all made in 3 days and the post production and sound was all done while JJ & J went down the shops to ingredients for the grand chilli cook off:
P.P.S if you can name the keyboad that is providing the sound you win an mystery prize!
